Barjače (Atana's Version) Барјаче Macedonia These notes ©2018, Andrew Carnie. This dance is a variation on the Pušteno/ Berance/ Bajrače/ Barjače/ Levendikos family of dances. It is a choreography by Atanas Kolarovski. Music : AK-003; FM11-6; FM26-22 Meter : 12/8, which is parsed as SQQSQ (1,2,3)(4,5)(6,7)(8,9,10),(11,12) but at many points the two Qs are taken together as an even longer slow count. Formation : Open circle, hands in W position. Leads to the righ. Introduction : Start at the beginning of any musical phrase. Part 1: Bar 1: Čukče on L foot, lifting right knee (1,2,3 - S).
