Also taught by Norma Huff, and Phyllis Weikert. Music : Sanna Longden Dances of the 7 continents Volume 1 CD#3 Rhythmically Moving 3. AR36 Meter : 2/4 Formation : Solo dance, either in a circle or lines of people facing the same direction. Also possible are two concentric circles, with the inside circle facing out, and the outside circle facing in. Introduction : Wait thru drums and start with flute, starting after a 1 beat pickup. Part 1: Shuffle Women are holding skirts and men have hands on backs. This is one of two versions of this dance taught by Csaba Pálfi, as such it is commonly known as "Magyar Csárdás II". This version has three parts, a multipart couple csardas, a men's solo verbunk and women's circle dance, followed by a fast couple dance. The couple dance parts of this suite when taken together without the Verbunk are known as Magyar Csárdás I. Music : Folkraft LP28 (Hungarian Dances - Csaba Pálfi). The version without the verbunk is on LP29 Meter : Couple Csárdás 4/4 and 2/4: Verbunk & Women's circle (Karikázó): 4/4. The dance name translates as "Girls' Dance from Crihalma", and it's from  Crihalma, Judeţ Braşov (Brasov county), South Transylvania Music : Noroc NA1074 Nevofoon 12153 https://www.allmusic.com/song/dansul-fetelor-de-la-crihalma-mt0010591005 Meter : 4/4 (Sunni has it as 2/4, but it's much easier to notate as 4/4) Formation : Individuals (originally just women) in a circle, facing LOD, hands on hips. The name is pronounced "Keff" and the dance comes from the Roma (Gypsy) population of Transylvania. Music : Romanian Realm 6 Meter : 2/4 Formation : Open circle of individuals not holding hands Introduction : 16 bars (32 counts) no action (or general faffing and noodling around in time to the music. Basic step : Pas ca la uşa cortului ("Step like on the threshold of a tent") Bar 1: Step on R in place, or slightly to R (1), Step on L next to R (&), Step on R in place (2), stamp L next to R (&) Bar 2: Repeat bar 1 with opposite footwork Part 1 Bars 1-4: Do 2 Pas Ca La Uşa Cortului (PCLUC) steps (RLRstamp, LRLstamp, RLRstamp, LRLstamp). Music : Sonia Dion and Cristian Florescu, Romanian Realm 8 Meter : 2/4 Formation : Circle of individuals, each person facing LOD, arms are free down at the sides Introduction : 4 bars no action, start with strigaturi (shouted chant) Part 1 Throughout this step you pantomime being an older person walking with a stick.
